Angelo Pirrone is a painter living and working in Southwest Florida. Pirrone studied at Penland School of Craft in North Carolina and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. His work exists at the intersection of representation and non-representation where he deals with themes of Energy, Pop Culture and Play. Pirrone works in a variety of media including oil and acrylic paint, screen-print, ink-transfer and gelatin print. "I use lively colors in my paintings that fade, scrape, float and drip. I do this in order to explore elements like movement and touch. I like to think that the act of painting can be a beautiful, exciting record of creativity and expression. I want my work to demonstrate my excitement of being alive, with the hope that it will evoke inspiration in others in a meaningful way." Exhibits
